Caramel Sauce


This can be a fun holiday time dessert. Serve with apple and pear slices. 

Yields approximately 1 1/2 cups

You’ll Need
· 2 egg yolks, beaten
· ½ cup packed brown sugar
· ½ cup granulated sugar
· ¼ cup butter
· ½ cup water1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  • Heat all ingredients to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve warm or cold. 
  • Refrigerate any remaining sauce.
